Now that the end of the project is coming up I needed to start making different designs for the ice-cream tubs. I wanted to start with what seemed to me as the easiest one to design, the peach and basil ice-cream. I took the square I made in illustrator and used it as my template size. from here I picked a color and started to work. A lot if the tubs I looked at had an image of the items that the ice-cream was trying to mimic the flavor of, so as I wanted to go with a more hand drawn type of aesthetic I got pictures of peaches and basil leaves and drew round them. I colored them in and placed them in the bottom left corner. from here I needed to add the name of the brand but it didn't stand out as much as I wanted it to so I put a back-plate behind it. After this I needed to actually include the flavor of the ice-cream. And finally I wanted to make the background slightly more vibrant because it was just a solid color so I added outlines of a basil leaf and the outline of a peach tree flower. The reason they are just outlines is because it takes less attention away from the main image and text but still make the piece less dull.
